Hi guys I'm Nouhaila from Speaking English With Nouha and in today's lesson,
I'm gonna show you 9 English words that you probably don't pronounce them correctly!
However, don't stress over it, don't sweat, we are going to fix this problem and that also will help you to increase your English vocabulary.
Are you ready? So let's get started with the first word :

1. Vegetable : Presently this word is a test since it would seem that there ought to be four syllables in this word.'Vegetable'.
But no! there's not, there are only three syllables,
Would you be able to see the syllable that we totally overlook the 'e'? 'Vegetable'.
We don't articulate that subsequent syllable.

2. Comfortable : Presently this word, much the same as 'vegetable', has an additional vowel in there that we don't pronounce.
I'm talking about the 'o'.

3. Almond : we don't pronounce the 'L',it is a silent letter.
The same with these words:
would - half - talk - walk.

4. etc : this is the very common english  word mistake a lot of people make it, we don't say X-cetera! the correct pronunciation is etcetera.

5. Clothes : now this one is difficult to pronounce you know why?
because both of the consonant ‘-th’ and the plural sound are voiced.

6. Architecture: this one is a common mistake .
--> we don't pronounce the 'ch' sound, we pronounce it like the 'K' sound.

7. Word : we don't pronounce the 'r' letter.
the 'o' in these words is pronounced like the sound of 'e' in 'her'  .
The same for these words : world - work .

8. Photograph/photography: in the first word the stress is in the first 'o' but in the second word the stress is in the second 'o'!!!

9. Wednesday : we don't pronounce the first  'd', we just say : Wednesday without 'd'
